With over 28 years’ of experience as an investment banker, portfolio manager, financial consultant and entrepreneur, Rafael Bellavita has been involved in the water industry for over 15 years as a principal, partner and investor through Pleiades Capital Management and Investment Company in providing water solutions to consumers residentially, commercially and industrially.

He was also the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Abacus Entertainment, a media production and retail distribution of cinema, music, and advertising trailers making shopping for home entertainment much more fun and informed process.
He launched the MK1, a revolutionary way for consumers to view high-quality movie trailers in-store allowing the customer to make an informed home entertainment choice. Prior to Abacus Entertainment, Rafael was Senior Vice President of Prudential-Bache Securities (Hong Kong) Limited, where he was responsible for sales and product development in Asia.
Rafael’s career in Hong Kong also included working for Salomon Brothers Asset Management Asia Pacific Limited (SBAM) where he was Vice President and Senior Marketing Officer responsible for marketing SBAM’s global investment management products to investors based in Asia.
He also held the position of Product Manager for the Salomon-Shanghai Industrial Asset Management Company where he directed the first sino-foreign joint venture in the financial field and all Asian equity and alternative investment products worldwide.
Rafael has also worked for leading management consultancy firms and financial institutions including Valores Finamex SA and Banca Promex SA, Price Waterhouse and Andersen Consulting, in London, New York, Milan, Singapore and Tokyo.
Rafael holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Political Science from the University of Michigan and a degree in Business Administration and Asian Business Practices from Sophia University in Tokyo.
